Gary became our pastor in June of 2010. He and his wife, Emily, both grew up in Alaska in missionary families. Emily has a B.A. in English Literature and a M.A. in General Theological Studies from Wheaton College (IL). Gary has a B.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies and a M.A. in Historical & Systematic Theology from Wheaton College and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (IL). They have a son, August.

Gary brings to Trinity an absolute belief in the power of the Gospel to transform lives, the church, and the world. The Gospel tells us that humans are completely dependent upon God's self-revelation for true understanding, so the Word of God must have functional authority over the church. Gary has a passion to develop close relationships both in the congregation and in the community so that the Gospel may take root and be proclaimed everywhere.

Cathy has been our secretary since March of 2001.  She grew up in Mason County.  Her husband works for Reith Riley Construction.  She has three married daughters and two grandchildren.

She enjoys sports, coaches pole vaulters, likes to run, bike, read and hike at the State Park.  Other areas of ministry include leading a women's Bible Study and sitting on the board of Northern Michigan Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
